Who Is Guru Rinpoche?

Eyes, Hands, and Sacred Posture

The statue's wide, piercing eyes convey fierce compassion — seeing through illusion. His right hand holds the khatvanga (trident staff), symbolising mastery over the three poisons. The left cradles a skull cup (kapala) bearing a vase of immortality, resting in dhyana mudra. Seated in royal ease (maharajalila) upon a double-lotus throne, his posture radiates unshakeable awakening.
