Standing at an imposing 35 cm and weighing nearly 4.5 kg, this statue is built to be felt. The 24K gold gilding blazes with warmth, while vibrant acrylic flame paintwork creates dramatic visual depth. This is a centerpiece — bold, sacred, and utterly unforgettable.
Who Is Six Armed Mahakala?
Six Armed Mahakala, known in Sanskrit as Ṣaḍbhuja Mahākāla, is one of the most revered dharma protectors in Vajrayana Buddhism. An emanation of Avalokiteśvara, he manifests in wrathful form to actively eliminate obstacles, destroy delusion, and safeguard practitioners walking the path toward liberation.
A Storm of Power: Key Features
Six dynamic arms radiate outward like cosmic forces, each gripping a sacred implement — skull cup, curved chopper, rosary, trident, damaru, and noose — representing mastery over all forces of existence. Three wide, flame-ringed eyes burn with all-seeing awareness. His fanged mouth roars with primal ferocity. Planted in a fierce warrior stance atop the elephant-headed god Ganesh, his posture proclaims absolute dominion over ego and ignorance.
Sacred Symbolism and Meaning
Each of his six arms corresponds to the liberation of beings across the six realms of samsara. His dark body, rendered brilliantly in gold, symbolizes the unchanging nature of enlightened awareness. The roaring fire mandorla encircling him purifies all negativity, while his bone ornaments remind practitioners of life's impermanence.
Sanskrit and Buddhist Wisdom
The Mahakala Tantra teaches: "Mahakala is the great protector of the Dharma, whose wrath is the very expression of compassion in action." His six arms echo the Bodhisattva vow — to liberate all beings from the suffering of all six realms without exception.
Sacred Mantra
“Om Shri Mahakala Hum Phat”
"Salutations to the Great Black One — destroy all obstacles now!" Chanting this mantra invokes Mahakala's six-armed might, dissolving fear, clearing karmic blockages, and drawing his fierce protection into your life and practice.
