Who Is Green Tara? 

Green Tara, (Tibetan: Drolma), is the swift-acting goddess of compassion and fearlessness in Vajrayana Buddhism — the divine mother who responds instantly to the cries of suffering beings. Born from a tear of Avalokiteśvara, she vowed to remain in feminine form until all beings attained liberation. Across Tibet, Nepal, and Mongolia, she is the most beloved protectress, invoked to overcome obstacles, fears, and life's eight great dangers.

Her jewelled crown reflects sovereignty over the three realms of existence.

Sanskrit and Buddhist Wisdom

The Tārā Mūla Tantra declares: "She who saves with a single glance; whose compassion arises faster than thought." In the Praise to the Twenty-One Tārās, she is celebrated as the one who dissolves all fear instantly — "swift as lightning, boundless as the sky."
