Riding the Lion of Fortune | Oxidized Lion Dzambhala Statue That Roars Prosperity Into Existence
Dark, powerful, and strikingly regal, this Nepalese Lion Dzambhala unites the raw authority of the lion mount with the boundless generosity of wealth's supreme deity — a masterwork of oxidized copper and silver that commands every space it inhabits.
Why This Statue?
This Lion Dzambhala stands apart through its dramatic two-tone oxidized copper and silver-plated finish — a rare aesthetic that evokes ancient sacred power rather than conventional golden opulence. Who Is Lion Dzambhala?
Lion Dzambhala, Simha Jambhala in Sanskrit, is a rare and potent form of the Buddhist wealth deity, depicted riding a fearless snow lion, the symbol of fearlessness and sovereignty in Tibetan sacred tradition. This form magnifies Dzambhala's power exponentially, combining abundant generosity with the lion's unstoppable, earth-shaking authority over all obstacles to prosperity.
Key Features: Eyes, Hands, and Sacred Posture
Dzambhala's deeply set, fierce eyes burn with unwavering determination — the gaze of one who conquers scarcity absolutely. His right hand firmly grips a victory banner (dhvaja), proclaiming triumph over poverty and spiritual obstruction. His left hand restrains the jewel-spewing mongoose (nehulay). Seated astride the roaring snow lion in a commanding posture of sovereign ease, his robust form radiates inexhaustible abundance and fearless, lion-hearted generosity.
Sacred Symbolism and Meaning
The snow lion mount represents the fearlessness required to receive true abundance. The victory banner declares liberation from material and spiritual poverty. Red flames surrounding the base symbolize the burning away of karmic obstacles blocking prosperity's flow, while silver plating evokes lunar purity and the cooling clarity of wisdom.
Sanskrit and Buddhist Wisdom
The Ratnavali of Nagarjuna teaches: "Generosity is the very foundation upon which all prosperity is built." Lion Dzambhala embodies this truth — his lion's roar dissolves fear, and his open hand pours forth dana, the sacred generosity that multiplies all blessings.
Sacred Mantra
“Om Dzambhala Dzalendraye Svaha”
Meaning: "Om, I invoke Dzambhala, the lord of wealth, Svaha (so be it)."
