Who Is Chengresi? 

Chengresi, Avalokiteśvara in Sanskrit — is the Bodhisattva of infinite compassion and the most universally beloved deity across all of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. He arose from the most profound compassion — the tear of a being who witnessed every realm overflowing with suffering and vowed never to rest until the very last sentient being is liberated.
