Why This Statue?
This is presence. At 5.86 kg with a sweeping gemstone-studded halo, this Dzambhala is among the most visually striking wealth deity statues available. The 24K gold finish blazes against the hand-painted blue face — a rare, arresting contrast. Dozens of hand-set turquoise, red coral, and lapis stones adorn the aureole, making each piece genuinely one of a kind. This is a statement altar piece.
Who Is Dzambhala?
Dzambhala is the Buddhist God of Wealth and Prosperity. One of the most beloved deities in Tibetan and Nepalese Buddhism, he is invoked to remove poverty, attract abundance, and ensure that material well-being supports the practitioner's spiritual path.
Key Features: Eyes, Hands, and Sacred Posture
The fierce, wide hand-painted eyes radiate wrathful compassion — not anger, but the force needed to demolish scarcity. His left hand clutches a jewel-spitting mongoose (nehulay), squeezing a stream of precious gems from its mouth. His right hand cradles a wish-fulfilling jewel. Seated in royal ease (maharajalila) atop a lotus throne, his prominent belly signifies inexhaustible abundance — a body literally overflowing with generosity.
Sacred Symbolism and Meaning
The mongoose is Dzambhala's most iconic symbol — a creature that devours the serpents of poverty and hoards of greed, releasing wealth freely. The jewel-encrusted halo represents the radiance of merit. Turquoise signals healing prosperity, red coral embodies life-force energy, and lapis lazuli reflects the infinite depth of generative wisdom.
Sanskrit and Buddhist Wisdom
The Mahāyāna tradition teaches that true wealth is inseparable from generosity — dāna. Dzambhala embodies this principle: he does not hoard abundance but channels it toward the liberation of all beings. As stated in the Jambhala Tantra, invoking him purifies negative karma around wealth and dissolves the root causes of material suffering.
Sacred Mantra
“Om Dzambhala Dzalendhraye Svaha”
"Homage To Dzambhala, The Lord Who Showers Blessings." This powerful mantra invokes the deity's wealth-bestowing energy, purifies poverty karma, and opens the practitioner to receive abundance — material, spiritual, and meritorious — on every level of existence.
