Why this Statue?
This authentic Nepalese masterpiece brings powerful spiritual protection and obstacle-clearing energy, making it essential for serious practitioners and collectors seeking genuine tantric art.
Who is Vajrakilaya?
Vajrakilaya, also known as Dorje Phurba, is one of the most powerful wrathful deities in Tibetan Buddhism. As a heruka manifestation of Vajrasattva, this fierce protector specializes in destroying negative forces, spiritual obstacles, and demonic influences that impede the path to enlightenment. Revered particularly in the Nyingma tradition, Vajrakilaya represents the active aspect of enlightened compassion that cuts through ignorance with unwavering precision.
Divine Form and Fierce Features
This magnificent statue captures Vajrakilaya in his terrifying yet compassionate three-faced, six-armed form, standing in the powerful alidhasana warrior pose. His central face displays fierce wrath with bulging eyes and fanged mouth, while his multiple arms wield various ritual implements including his signature three-sided ritual dagger (phurba). The silver-plated details enhance his piercing gaze and ornate crown adorned with skulls. His dark oxidized body, draped in bone ornaments and tiger skin, emphasizes his role as a fierce protector. The dynamic flames surrounding him, painted in vibrant acrylics, represent the transformative fire that burns away spiritual impurities.
Sacred Symbolism and Meaning
The three faces represent the three times (past, present, future), while the six arms symbolize the six perfections. His ritual dagger represents the destruction of the three poisons: greed, hatred, and delusion. The flame aureole signifies wisdom fire, and the elaborate lotus base represents the pure foundation from which enlightened activity arises. Every detail embodies the fierce compassion needed to overcome the most stubborn spiritual obstacles.
Sanskrit and Buddhist Wisdom
The name combines "Vajra" (diamond/thunderbolt) and "Kila" (stake/dagger), representing indestructible wisdom that pins down and destroys negative forces.
Sacred Mantra
“Om Vajra Kili Kilaya Sarva Vighnaan Bam Hum Phat”
