While Amitabha embodies boundless light, Amitayus embodies boundless life — the two are inseparable expressions of the same enlightened wisdom. Revered across Tibet, Nepal, and the Himalayan world, he is one of the three principal long-life deities alongside White Tara and Ushnishavijaya.
