Who Is Amitabha Buddha?
Amitabha Buddha — known in Tibetan as Öpagme, is the Buddha of Infinite Light, presiding over the western Pure Land of Sukhavati. Revered across Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions, he embodies boundless compassion and the promise of liberation for all sentient beings.

The statue's hand-painted eyes convey serene wisdom, gazing downward in deep meditative awareness. The hands rest in Dhyana Mudra — the meditation gesture — cradling a traditional begging bowl, symbolizing renunciation and inner stillness. Seated in Padmasana (full lotus posture) atop an ornate lotus throne adorned with turquoise, red coral, and lapis gemstones, the figure radiates perfect meditative absorption.
